On the 24th January we hosted our Business Conference at The Hilton Wembley, London – and it did not disappoint!
This year’s conference, where Branch Managers, sales and commercial colleagues attended was themed around our big campaign for 2018 – being Completely Customer Focused and hosted by our Managing Director, Dean Pinner.
Whilst the conference this year also had a new twist, as we invited our key suppliers to exhibit at our Supplier Marketplace.
Our specially chosen, Completely Customer Focused suppliers who are collaboratively working with us to ensure we’re providing the best customer service in the market, were all in attendance showcasing their latest products and innovations – Armstrong, British Gypsum, Celotex, Kingspan, Knauf Drywall, Knauf Insulation, Rockwool and Weber.
However the lineup didn’t stop there… we also welcomed the leading brands across our diverse product range, which is available to order at CCF’s 41-strong branch network.
CCF’s exclusive brands also showcased their full product range, including Sektor Interior Solutions, who have recently launched an extended range of ceiling tiles and lighting. Plus Tradeline Drywall Solutions, who were also showcasing their new BIM Objects and supported by the BIM Store, who gave the delegates a virtual reality tour.
While our Supplier Marketplace was a huge success, the evening was certainly a highlight enjoyed by all, as colleagues and suppliers came together for an evening of good food, good drinks and incredibly funny entertainment!
The evening began with our awards ceremony, which saw Metsec win Supplier of The Year as voted for by our branch network.
Before moving on to Sales Person of The Year, which was awarded to James Miller, Key Account Director for the North and Contributing Colleague of The Year, which was awarded to Alice Martin, Pricing Manager.
The most anticipated award of the evening was Branch of The Year, which was awarded to CCF Glasgow, following a win earlier in the day for Regional Branch of The Year.
Following the award ceremony and a delicious dinner, star of BBC’s Live at the Apollo, ground-breaking ventriloquist, BAFTA nominated filmmaker and British Comedy Award winner, Nina Conti was welcomed to the stage and had the room in stitches as she also pulled up members of the audience to participate…
Before finishing the evening on the 9th floor Sky Bar, a raffle took place, which resulted in CCF raising £2,100 in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Overall the conference was a huge success and we’d like to give a big thank you to all suppliers who attended and donated a prize to the raffle.
