Freight in the City Expo 2016
This year Travis Perkins Plc exhibited at the 2016 Expo, which is dedicated to making urban deliveries as safe, clean and quiet as possible.
The second annual Freight in the City Expo took place on Wednesday 2nd November at Alexandra Palace, London, where more than 1,200 visitors attended from companies across the country with an interest in sustainable urban logistics.
Last year we introduced Mercedes Econic trucks to our CCF fleet and at this year’s show, the low cab vehicle was showcased at the Travis Perkins Plc stand.
Operating from our CCF East London and Borehamwood branches, the two Econic trucks feature panoramic windscreens and low-level entry cabs to provide improved views and eye contact at the critical nearside front of the vehicle. Additionally like all new vehicles in the CCF fleet, the trucks are fitted with electronic proximity alerts.
The introduction of these trucks form part of our proactive role in the Construction Logistics and Cyclists Safety (CLOCS) programme and adherence to the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).
